Week 6 and 5 More Pounds Down

Well, week 6 is behind me and I managed to get down to 418lbs. Still, more weight than most professionals recommend to lose but at my weight and age, I am walking heart attack so I am willing to risk it. I am still sticking to low carbs what some say is keto (I always called it Atkins but oh well). I also found some help keeping track of what I am eating on My Fitness Pal. Also last week for the first time I joined a gym.

5 Pounds Down

At week 4 I was at a 423lbs when I weighed in this week I was at 418lbs! That is another 5 pounds down so that really kept me motivated. I know the day is going to come when I am not going to lose weight or stagnate so I better take these wins while I can. My short term goal is to get under 400lbs so I still got a bit ways to go for that. The long term goal is to get to 200lbs.



My Fitness Pal App

Most weight loss professionals will tell you it is really helpful to keep a journal. I am a tech person so I don't like carrying around a notebook and pen so I needed a way to do it with my phone. I found the perfect way in My Fitness Pal. MyFitnessPal.com is so freaking conveinent because it has most of the foods already in its database so you don't have to figure out calories and carbs, it does all that for you.  It also accounts for your exercise as well. You can also connect it to Map My Walk app and when you walk it will track it and account for it in Myfitnesspal app. So you are not stuck trying to keep track of all this stuff with a few clicks you have the foods you ate and total calories and stuff. It is really handy and useful so I suggest if you are trying to lose weight or just be healthier download it, you can also access it on your desktop or laptop.

I Joined A Gym 

Another first I did last week was join a gym. I thought when I went there that I would be the only big guy but no there is all kinds of people just like me there so no use in being really self-conscious. I am starting at 20 minutes per workout and just cardio. I hope to work into muscle building and longer cardio workouts but I am starting small right now. I think the key to me not getting a lot of loose skin would be to gain muscle. The downside to going to the gym it is out of my way home and to work so it puts me out of a little time but I got to look at it like medicine if I want to be healthy. 


Goals For The Next Two Weeks 

My weight loss goals for the next two weeks are pretty much on tact to what they have been. I am hoping a can lose another 5 pounds and I am hoping I can continue going to the gym. The only thing I think can stop me is the inconvenience of going to it because it is out of the way. I also want to continue to journal my food and exercise with myfitnesspal that helps a lot.  Also, my plan is to go and get groceries for my work lunch and breakfast at home. Not only am I trying to lose weight, I am trying to save money but not eating out so much. Until the next two weeks and hopefully a few pounds less, so long.

Week 4 and I Am Down 6 Pounds!

Well with another two weeks behind I got on the scales yesterday for my youtube channel and I am now down 6 pounds from the previous 2 weeks, so that is a motivator for sure. I got a new camera, its made for Vlogging you can check it out here. I also had a Doctor's visit this week and they told me blood pressure was great because 3 years ago it was crazy 170/130 I think? I was drinking like a fish though so that might've contributed to that.


What I am Doing 

I am still doing low carb and I am exercising a little bit. In the morning I do some stretches and jog in place and touch my elbows to my knees to get my heartbeat up a little. I take a multivitamin to make up for any nutrients I might be missing by cutting out a lot of carbs out of my diet.  I want to get me an elliptical so I can up my game a little but I wanted to the camera and scales and stuff so I could document and journal my weight loss journey. I think the 6 pounds in two weeks might be a little too much to soon but I will take it because I need to lose it. I am so heavy that every day I have this weight on me I am doing my body more harm.

What I Plan To Do 

What I am doing right now is working so I am going to continue to do the Atkins Diet. The plan is to exercise more. I am sure if I exercise more I will feel better and build some muscle because I know I am going to have a lot of loose skin if I lose all this. 



Other than that is all I got. I hope you guys continue to follow me and help me on my weight loss journey and I am not going to lie to you either this is part of my marketing journey as well. Week 2 Is Now Behind Me

Well I am officially celebrating two weeks of being on a diet today. I'm not sure if I have lost anything at all yet because I didn't have a scale. Where I weigh over 400lbs I figured I would shows signs elsewhere like my pants and shirts but I haven't noticed a change there yet. I did order this scale on Amazon just a few minutes ago because it is for people that weigh over 400 pounds so I can keep better track of what is going on with my weight. (Edit I got the scale in I'm at 429lbs)

I have basically cut my calories in half in these two weeks by just cutting out all the sweets and snacks that I eat. I have replaced them with Quest Protein Powder, Carb Master Yogurt and Slim Jims and Cheese. I also got a stomach virus last week and I thought well I am kick starting my diet. All I could taste was the McDonalds Bunless Mushroom Melt Burger that ate the night before (I know gross).

When I've had to do fast food at work or when me and my wife don't feel like cooking, I've found little cheats to use. For example when we do taco bell there is the power bowl and I just don't get rice and beans. When we are at a hamburger joint, no fries and  I just don't eat the bun. The first week was kind of tough but it has got easier.

I am hoping in the next few weeks I can notice some changes in clothes. I am very tired of looking like I am wearing skinny jeans when they are actually loose fit clothes.

My First Post and The Beginning of My Weight Loss Journey

Well here it goes..

This is where my Journey begins. I'll start by telling you about myself and we will go from there. This is the start of my weight loss transformation and journey. I hope by sharing it I will:
1 Stay on track and not quit
2. Make some money (I am internet marketer, I make money doing this stuff anyways)
3. I inspire others and I get inspired.

The Goal

I am 445 lb man. My goal is to lose 200 lbs within a year. I know that is a really extreme goal and probably not the healthiest way to lose weight but it is better than being where I am right now. Anyway I can lose a lot of weight now is better than staying the way I am.

How I Plan To Achieve My Goal

I plan on achieving my goal by doing a Low Carb diet to begin with after a month or two I want to modify it a little bit to include fruits and vegetables. I plan on using an elliptical every morning, weight lifting and walking as  much as I can as well. The basic plan exercise a lot and stay away from Carbs. 

Little History...

My name is Chris. My weight has went up and down since I've been a kid so I have always struggled with my weight. I've also struggled with alcohol as well. I lost around 80lbs in 2009 and I was really in the best condition of my life. Two years later I met the love of my life at my coffee shop. We moved in together and shortly after that my disease showed its ugly face. I went from around 200lb in 2012 up to 400+ by 2014. I finally quit alcohol in September 2017 . Even though I quit drinking though I still struggle because of my weight. It has caused me to be a hermit and to hide. I am ashamed of the way I look and I almost feel disabled by it.  At the time of this writing it is 12/29/18 and I've had enough! I've been dieting for 3 days now and I feel like the time is now to do this.
